Ryan Fennis is a music producer, songwriter and visual artist currently based in Naarm (Melbourne). Fennis marries popular music tropes with differing cultural and musical foundations, resulting in a sonic experience that is easily engagable and simultaneously estranged. He mixes sounds of warping electronic elements, heavy bass, entrancing melodies, ethereal soft-spoken vocals, and experimental rhythms that morph and flow into each other creating something that is distinctly his. His work explores his everyday realities, alternative realities and possible futures; heavily inspired by science fiction and tropical futurism.
Previously, Ryan Fennis has played festivals such as BIGSOUND and Groovin’ the Moo, and has worked with musicians such as Genesis Owusu and Nicholas Littlemore of Empire of the Sun.
